The architectural elevator, engineered for the Gulf sun.

Panoramic elevators look effortless when they're done well — and conspicuous when they aren't. AuroLift's panoramic range is engineered around three realities specific to GCC projects: extreme solar load on glazed cabins, thermal cycling between conditioned lobbies and shaft conditions, and the structural demands of tall atrium installations. Every glazing decision, frame profile, and drive configuration is made against those realities.

Configurations.

Half-round (semi-circular)

The default architectural elevator: a curved glass front facing the atrium, opaque rear wall for shaft sealing and shaft-equipment concealment. Ideal for hotel atria, premium retail, and signature lobbies.

Full-round (cylindrical)

Glass on three or four sides for free-standing installations in open atriums and observation locations. Engineered for maximum visibility with structural integrity.

Square panoramic

Architectural cubes with glass on two or three faces, suited to contemporary commercial lobbies and mixed-use podiums.

Observation

Purpose-built for observation-deck and viewing-tower projects. Heavy-duty wind/seismic engineering, redundant safety systems, and visitor-capacity configurations.

Glazing & solar specification.

  • Tempered + laminated safety glass per EN 81-20/50 glazing requirements.
  • Low-iron glass for true colour transmission and minimal green tint.
  • Solar-control coatings rated for Gulf insolation, reducing heat gain inside the cabin.
  • Bonded structural framing in brushed stainless, polished brass, or custom architectural finishes.
  • Bespoke LED ambient and architectural lighting integration.
  • Optional smart-glass switchable opacity for privacy or atmosphere.

Process.

  1. Architectural review. Atrium drawings, structural envelope, and visual brief reviewed with your architect.
  2. Specification & proposal. Cabin renderings, glass spec, frame finish, structural calcs, and fixed pricing within 5–7 working days for custom architectural configurations.
  3. Civil Defence submittal. Glass elevator submittals prepared with full code traceability.
  4. Installation & commissioning. Specialized panoramic installation crews. Atrium-friendly install methodology to minimize disruption.
  5. Service. AMC includes glazing inspection, frame seal verification, and lighting maintenance.

FAQ

Panoramic elevators — common questions.

Yes. The glass system, frame structure, and safety circuits are engineered against the same EN 81-20/50 standards as standard elevators, with additional structural calculations for wind loading on tall atrium installations and seismic provisions where the local code requires.

Panoramic cabins for GCC projects use low-E solar-control coatings and, where required, additional IR-reflective film. Internal cabin temperature is engineered to match the connected lobby environment within ±3°C even under direct insolation.

Yes. Frame profiles, finishes (stainless, brass, bronze, custom architectural), interior fit-out (flooring, ceiling, lighting), and lighting schemes are all specified to your architect's direction. We co-engineer the cabin against the project's interior package.

Typically 16–24 weeks from confirmed PO including manufacturing, glazing fabrication, and on-site installation. Specification and proposal stage takes 5–7 working days after we receive atrium drawings.
